Qweshunga Initiative Ltd is a registered Ugandan organisation built on the Runyankole-Runyakitara concept of OMWESHUNGO — playfulness. We champion play as a tool for healing, learning, and authentic living. A community where adults reclaim joy, connection, and the freedom to be fully human.
A recognisable voice in Ugandan feminist and creative spaces, Penelope founded Qweshunga to prove a simple, radical idea: that play is not frivolous — it is how we heal, how we learn, and how we remember to be human.
